Words

I have no idea how many people are paying attention to this, but for you, dear viewer/reader/personsittinginfrontofacomputer, an update:

Looks like Jackson might be moving into First Grade sooner than next August. My kid is hella smart.

Nearly three months after giving her notice, KC is STILL in her management position. I have no words...

Family trip to Puerto Rico in 8 days! Staying at Tres Palmas in Rincon. Surf, Snorkel, Beer, Sleep, Repeat. Then 5 days with our favorite human-sized Mouse. Staying at the Polynesian ("because we're rock stars," says KC...). I'm looking forward to turning off my phone and smiling for 10 days.

The Beau Crum record, tentatively titled "Get What You Want," will be done by October 13th. I am recording, mixing, mandolin-ing, accordian-ing, singing-ing, and electric guitaring on said record. Come see Beau (and me!) open for Frank Turner at Jack Rabbits on November 11th.

The Wobbly Toms record, tentatively titled "Everybody Happy!," will be done by November 30th. I am recording, mixing, drumming, keyboarding, accordian-ing, mandolin-ing, and singing-ing on said record. Come see the 'Toms at the British Pub on Friday, October 29th. Halloween, bitches!

While we've been inactive (read: DEAD) as of late, OnslaughtDynamo is getting back together for a one off show with Strike Anywhere. Wednesday, November 3rd at the Lomax Lounge. White dudes from Richmond with dreads are STOKED. I am too.

Summer is gone and with it, my heart. Smooches,

Jerm

PRICK

I hope this blog will soon take the place of my facebook page. Only the die-hard will venture here and that suits me fine. poke this, motherfuckers. some news:

1. I've started preproduction on a new ONSLAUGHT DYNAMO digital 7". It'll be a free download with artwork and lyrics and junk. Side A will feature "Sean Penn's Theme Song" and Side B will feature a cover of the mighty SEAWEED's "Start With."

2. Looks like I'll be recording Beau Crum's solo album pretty soon too. You likey the CHUCK RAGAN? Then check Beau out. Hopefully he'll let me add some squeeze box lovin'...

3. KC and I often fall into our day to day routines, only to look up and realize months have flown by. Life often gets in the way of living. Case in point: it had been 10 years since we hung out with our friends Matt and Aileen Carlson. In fact , the last time we saw them was our going away partay in Gainesville, June of 2000. How the hell did that happen? Luckily, with some friends, time passes and connections do not. We picked up right where we left off and had a great weekend. Their kids are awesome and Jackson and Tessa got along famously. Repeat after me: DON'T TAKE YOUR FRIENDS FOR GRANTED.

4. I'll be debuting a weekly 3 panel comic strip on this very blog in the near future. It's entitled "PRICK." You've been warned...

This Sinking Feeling

A few years ago, I started a band with my two friends Bo and Robin. We called it The New Ghost. A few years, a handful of drummers, and 18.24 bass players later, the band was called Onslaught Dynamo and we recorded "This Sinking Feeling." I engineered the entire thing in my garage (The Escape Hatch! if you're nasty) and played all the guitars, bass, and keys and sang some back-ups. Follow the link below for a free download of the album in it's entirety.
